Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Overwatch

It’s the end of the year and time to enjoy some well deserved time off. Or, for us gamers, some well deserved time gaming! In a quick look back at 2017, we had some great things going for us gamers. Most notable for me personally was the release on Nintendo’s amazing new system, The Nintendo Switch. Another amazing system complimenting the decades long line of Nintendo systems. Coupled with the release, my personal game of the year; The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild.

To skip ahead a bit in the year, we had some great releases and ports on the Switch as well. Many reviewed on PressQuit, even more, sadly not. We had a look at Breath of the Wild, DOOM and Rocket League. Super Mario Odyssey, by most seen as the second big Switch release, is skipped by PressQuit. Looking forward to play it this holiday though and I will most certainly share my opinions either here or on Twitter!

But next to Nintendo, there was much more gaming greatness this year. Let’s not skip over the amazing Horizon Zero Dawn for the Playstation 4. One of the most amazing open world games in seen in a long time. Here’s to hoping for more Aloy in the coming year(s).

More then just the Switch

And recently, the one-day trio: Super Mario Odyssey, Wolfenstein II New Colossus and Assassin’s Creed Origins. October 27th made us all make one hell of a big choice! (conserving Mario for the holidays, I picked Assassin’s Creed!)
Uncharted Lost Legacy, Xenoblade Chonicles 2, Metroid Samus Returns, Forza 7, Mass Effect Andromeda, South Park The Fractures but Whole, Call of Duty World War II, Cuphead, Resident Evil… the list goes on, and on!

PressQuit in 2017

But next to gaming, PressQuit made some great leaps as well. We got in close contact with many (big) developers. Special thanks goes to THQ Nordic, Team17 and Nintendo Netherlands for their continued contact. It’s great working with these lovely people and we would love to do so lots more in 2018.

But the community around us grew as well. Especially on Twitter. We love connecting with people and Twitter is a great way to do so! Much love and fortune to the many great gamers we’re connected to. I’m not even going to mention specific people, those who we actively talk to and with well know who they are!

Growing team

PressQuit also got some incredible people joining the team. In no particulair order we got some great contributions from Stephen, Jake, Sam and Job and hope to read more from them as we continue on this great journey.

Want to join the PressQuit team in 2018? Let us know via Email of Twitter and we love to have a talk!

All that rest for me is to express my personal thanks to each and everybody connected in some way to PressQuit. I really appriciate the support, fun, contact and contribution of you all!
PressQuit wishes you all an amazing, warm and merry Christmas and all the health, luck and great games for 2018!

Thank you!

A year without Zelda and Final Fantasy is a sad year indeed and that is why it is my lifelong goal to yearly replay Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy VII.
