Ghost Recon Wildlands, Year 2 Update

Wildlands Update FI

It’s good to see Ubisoft still actively supporting their ‘older’ games, even during the incredible hype surrounding their recent big release of Far Cry 5. For those who missed out on last years hit Ghost Recon Wildlands, this announcement is of little use. However, the massive community build around this great open-world tactical shooter, there is some great news:

Ubisoft announces their Year 2 plans for Ghost Recon Wildlands. And the best thing is.. it’s free for all who own the base game!

In a recent press release, Ubisoft shows off with some interesting headlines for their Year 2 Update for Ghost Recon Wildlands, called “Special Operation I”. However, before diving into the details, let’s have a small look at their last huge PvP update;

On to the recent update:

New Ghost War (PvP) Mode: Sabotage

Most importantly, a new game-mode called Sabotage. Much like the Extraction of last years update, this mode pits two teams against each other where one team tries to capture and hold an (static) objective, while the defending team tried to prevent that from happening.

New PvE mission

Along with the update to the competitive Ghost War content comes a whole new mission in the Campaign. Judging from the last PvE updates, these missions won’t be massive, but they will be interesting. The Predator mission was a nice and short mission with a great ending and sweet rewards.
We’re curious to see what they’ll bring this time.

Fashion Galore!

To some Ghost’s, this may be trivial, but to me personally, this has been one of the biggest drawbacks of a game I highly enjoy(ed)! My fellow (NPC) Ghosts look like total bellends! I am not expecting much, but their weird outfits made me look out for cars with tinted windows:

As of April 10th, you will finally be able to make your squad look like a proper stealth team. Here’s to hoping for multiple outfit slots, but just the option of changing their outfit is amazing!

The First Year 2 update, called ‘Special Operations’ I will be live on April 10th 2018!

Props to Ubisoft for their continuous support for this amazing game! It makes me go back to Bolivia every now and then, and the trip is always fun!

If you haven’t tried the game, there is a free demo available. Ghost Recon Wildlands is available on PS4, XboxOne and PC.
